“Heartland Hope Mission is building a community of hope.  Hope is the fuel that inspires people to work toward a better future, to pursue and education, to expand job skills, to live healthier and fuller lives.  Hope transforms a community from a place of lack to a place of possibility.  Every service we provide is directed by Hope.  Every client we serve is part of our family and we value them as a person.  It is important to us that every person who walks through our doors knows that we love them and that we will provide individualized services to meet their needs.  We do this through our core values of Faith, Love, Honesty, Integrity and Respect.”

- Chelsea Salifou, CEO, Heartland Hope Mission

Heartland Hope Mission is a faith-based 501(c)3 charitable organization founded  on Mathew 25:35-40:

“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me. Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”

Heartland Hope Mission helps working poor families by providing them with some of life's most basic staples. Our mission is to provide food, clothing and promote self-sufficiency for people in need.

Heartland Hope Mission provides a week’s supply of food, clothing, hygiene items, SNAP assistance, community referrals, job resources, and financial classes. Because Heartland Hope Mission is a faith based organization, we also offer an encouraging word and prayer.

When a family is trying to make a decision between food and an electric bill or rent, they are often unable to think past their current situation. Heartland Hope Mission provides food, hygiene items and clothing to help alleviate these immediate pressures. By doing so, we give hope, allowing these families to consider options that will improve their long-term condition.  We also meet with our clients one-on-one to help connect them to the resources they need to become self-sufficient.

Heartland Hope Mission wants to make sure that everyone feels welcome and loved. We do not discriminate based on: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or for prior civil rights activity.

Our indoor waiting area is open prior to our start time.  We serve our clients on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to participate in an encouraging word and prayer can attend if they wish, while those not wishing to attend are welcome to wait in a separate area.  We treat all our clients with equal respect and kindness.
