OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — This year's Warmth for Winter Coat drive was a success. During the month of January, KMTV held our annual winter wear drive, and set out bins at Godfather's Pizza locations throughout the metro area.

Stuff a Truck is Heartland Hope Mission’s largest annual food drive that raises a semi-truck load of food for the working poor.

The need for food has increased as a result of COVID-19. We have served over 21,000 individuals since the start of the global pandemic in March.

Heartland Hope Mission has been closely monitoring the recent developments of the coronavirus infection, COVID-19. While local health officials indicate that the risk is still low, the health and safety of our clients, volunteers and staff is very important to us.

In the month of January, Hy-Vee's Pound it Forward Campaign allowed customers to donate $3 to purchase a pound of ground beef.

This event is free to attend and brunch is complimentary. This is a great networking event where you can meet our CEO, Pastor Chelsea Salifou, along with other Heartland Hope Mission staff members. We will provide a mouth-watering Valentine’s Day brunch where you can tour our building to learn about our services, volunteer opportunities, and other ways you can get involved at Heartland Hope Mission. Any donation amount of $14 or more will allow the donor’s name to be showcased on our share the love wall, located at our South Omaha pantry location and on our website. You can donate online at

The infamous inflatable turkey war is helping families with a holiday meal! Inspired by the competition, Jennie-O decided to donate 1,300 pounds of turkeys to Food Bank for the Heartland. The turkeys are being distributed to families by Heartland Hope Mission.

Between October 23 and November 3, store guests who visit Family Fare will have the opportunity to donate $1, $5 or $10 at any checkout lane – and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit our food pantry.
