Heartland Hope Mission, OMAHA, NE – (November 09, 2018) Many local agencies offer a hot meal to needy families on Thanksgiving day. Heartland Hope Mission provides holiday assistance a little differently. Heartland Hope Mission provides needy families with a turkey or ham, along with the items to prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home.
Pre-registered families will receive milk, fresh produce, a pie, rolls, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, along with ingredients to make favorite items like a green bean casserole and gravy.
Heartland Hope Mission will provide holiday pantries to around 5,000 people this holiday season.
Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. – 12: 00 p.m. at 2021 U Street and from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Millard Plaza, 5321 S 139th, pre-registered, needy families can receive a turkey with the fixings including: mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, pies and dinner rolls.
The community can still help families enjoy a holiday meal by donating $25 at HeartlandHopeMission.org. Donations can also be dropped off directly to Heartland Hope Mission’s main, South Omaha location.
