Position Overview: Assist clients at Heartland Hope Mission with applications; provides referrals, and completes reports in a positive and caring manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The position of Client Service Specialist includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

·         Greet clients with a smile and let them know that we care about their well being

·         Complete intake and screening to determine needs of clients

·         Provide referrals and SNAP application assistance

·         Maintain databases and client information in an orderly and confidential manner

·         Maintain data accuracy and track services provided

·         Update resource sheets

·         Prepare reports

·         Oversee volunteers

·         Assist with HHM programs

·         Develop rapport with other community agencies and expand referrals

·         Assist with food distribution in greater Nebraska

·         Assist with crisis response

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

·         Proficient typing skills

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

·         Demonstrates excellence in organizational and communication skills

·         Conversational Spanish (preferred)

·         Strong Communication Skills

 ·         Strong Interpersonal Skills

·         Proficient with PC and comfortable with online databases

·         Experience working in a human service or customer service position is a plus

·        Conversational Spanish (preferred)

·        Associates Degree in Human Services or related field (preferred but is not required)

This workweek for this position is Tuesday – Saturday. Tuesday nights until 6:00 -8:30 pm, Thursday 1:00 pm -4:30 pm , and Saturday morning until 1:00 pm are required hours. Can you work the required hours and during regular business hours Tuesday – Friday?
